Marketplace analytics and unit economics for Wildberries and Ozon sellers

We bring Wildberries and Ozon commissions, logistics, storage, advertising and penalties onto one screen and calculate unit economics — the net profit from every SKU. AI suggests what to restock, what to raise in price and what it’s time to sell off before dead stock eats up your working capital.

Marketplace analytics: an owner and an analyst review profit by Wildberries and Ozon SKU against a warehouse of parcels ready for shipment

Turnover on Wildberries and Ozon is growing, payouts arrive every week, yet there’s no more money in the bank account. The marketplace deducts its commission, logistics to the customer and back, storage, acceptance, advertising and penalties — and all of it is scattered across a dozen reports. Part of your range may be breaking even or losing money, and you only notice once the cash is already frozen in stock.

Marketplace analytics from Giant4 IT gathers these numbers by itself. We connect to your seller accounts with a read-only key, pull cost prices from 1C or a spreadsheet, take your tax regime into account and calculate the unit economics of every SKU: how much is left from one sale after all deductions. One screen shows which products feed the business and which quietly eat money. AI analyzes the changes and writes conclusions in plain language: where the margin dropped, why, and what to do about it. This is management accounting for sellers, not another spreadsheet for your weekend.

What turnkey marketplace analytics includes

  • Net profit for every SKUSelling price minus commission, logistics, returns, storage, acceptance, advertising, acquiring fees, tax and cost price. Profit and margin are shown by product, brand, category and marketplace — for a day, week or month.
  • Unit economics and break-even priceWe calculate how much is left from one sale and the minimum price below which the product loses money. Before a marketplace promotion you can see right away whether a product can take the discount.
  • ABC analysis by profit, not revenueWe split the range into products that make money, products that break even and products that drag you down. A turnover leader sometimes turns out to be unprofitable — here you see it at once, not at the end of the quarter.
  • Advertising by SKUWe allocate ad account spend to products and calculate the advertising cost of sales (ACoS). You can see where ads pay off and where it’s time to switch a campaign off.
  • Sales and stock forecastA demand forecast that accounts for seasonality: how many days of stock each product has left, when to order a batch and how much to ship, so you don’t lose sales or pay to store excess.
  • Niche analysis before purchasingWe assess demand, competitors, prices and seasonality, and calculate the unit economics of a new product in advance at current rates. You buy what sells at a profit, not what “seems to be trending”.
  • AI summaries and alerts in TelegramEvery morning, a short summary: sales, profit, what changed and why. If a product slips into the red or stock is running out, you get an alert, not a surprise at the end of the month.
  • Connection to 1C and CRMCost and purchase prices are pulled from 1C automatically, and sales data can be sent to your CRM if you like. No manual copying of figures from exports.

Who needs Wildberries and Ozon sales analytics

  • Wildberries and Ozon sellers whose turnover is growing but profit isn’t, and it’s unclear which products are losing money
  • Manufacturers and wholesalers who have entered marketplaces and want to know whether this channel pays off compared with wholesale and their own website
  • Brands with dozens or hundreds of SKUs, where calculating unit economics by hand in Excel is no longer manageable
  • Those choosing a new product or niche who want to check demand and profit before purchasing, not after
  • Owners who need one clear screen instead of weekly exports and pivot tables

How we set up analytics and calculate unit economics

  1. Conversation and estimateYou tell us which marketplaces you sell on, how many SKUs you have and how you calculate profit today. We suggest what you specifically need on the screen and fix the price and timeline in the contract. The consultation is free and commits you to nothing.
  2. Connecting the dataYou create read-only access keys in your Wildberries and Ozon accounts. We load the history of sales, deductions and advertising, pull cost prices from 1C or a spreadsheet and factor in tax.
  3. Reconciliation with payoutsWe recalculate past weeks and reconcile them with the marketplace’s sales reports and actual payouts. Until the figures match, we don’t hand over the screen: decisions based on wrong data cost more than any analytics.
  4. Profit screen, forecasts and nichesWe build the SKU profit screen, ABC analysis, advertising view and stock forecast, and run a niche analysis for candidate products. We show interim results and refine them based on your feedback.
  5. Launch and trainingWe show you how to read the screen and what to do with the conclusions, and set up morning summaries and alerts in Telegram. Access goes to you and the employees who need it.
  6. SupportMarketplaces regularly change their rates, commissions and report formats. Under a support contract we update the calculations so the profit on screen stays real.

Why order marketplace analytics from us

  • We sell on Wildberries and Ozon ourselvesGiant4 IT is a studio within the Giant4 group of companies: lighting products, our own online stores giant4.ru and giant4.ae, sales on Wildberries and Ozon. In IT since 2022. We see marketplace commissions, logistics and storage fees in our own reports, not in other people’s articles.
  • We work with 1C and a warehouse every dayOur online store syncs with 1C: stock levels update automatically every few minutes. We run our warehouse, tasks and KPIs in our own CRM. We bring this experience to analytics by connecting it to your 1C and CRM.
  • AI tested on our own businessThe AI assistant on our store’s website answers shoppers, picks products and takes orders right in the chat. In analytics, AI works the same way — on your live data, not on pretty slides.
  • Fixed price, and the data is yoursWe fix the price in the contract before we start. Code, access and data are handed over to you under the contract, and the system can be deployed on your server — then the database with your sales and cost prices is stored only on your side.

Pricing

from $1,000

The price depends on the number of marketplaces, accounts and SKUs, where we get cost prices from (1C, a spreadsheet or another accounting system), and how many niches and candidate products we analyze. It’s also affected by Telegram summaries and alerts, a CRM connection, and where the system runs — on our side or on your server. Paid external data sources for niche analysis, if needed, are quoted in advance.

Prices exclude VAT. We confirm the exact cost and timeline after a short call and fix them in the contract.

Frequently asked questions

How much does turnkey marketplace analytics cost?

From $1,000 for a typical project. The total depends on the number of marketplaces, accounts and SKUs, where we get cost prices from, how many niches we analyze and whether you need a connection to 1C and CRM. We name the exact amount after a conversation and fix it in the contract; prices exclude VAT.

How do you calculate a product’s unit economics on Wildberries and Ozon?

Take the price the product actually sells for after your discounts and subtract everything the marketplace deducts: commission, logistics to the customer and back on returns, storage, acceptance, advertising and acquiring fees. Then subtract the cost price, including delivery to the warehouse and packaging, and tax — what’s left is the profit from one sale. By hand this is done in Excel from weekly reports; we calculate it automatically for every SKU.

How do you analyze a Wildberries niche before purchasing?

You look at demand and its seasonality, how many sellers are in the niche and how sales are split between them, what prices the product actually sells at, and competitors’ ratings and reviews. The key is to calculate unit economics in advance: will there be any profit at the niche price after all deductions and advertising? We do this analysis before you buy, so your money doesn’t get stuck in dead stock.

How is this different from off-the-shelf Wildberries and Ozon analytics services?

Off-the-shelf services are strong on market data: competitor sales, niches, rankings. Your own profit is calculated there using a generic template, the same for every seller. We build the calculation around your accounting: marketplace reports, cost prices from 1C, advertising, your tax and your rules — and add external market data if needed. What you get is not someone else’s template but your own management accounting, which stays with you.

Is it safe to give access to my seller account?

We connect through the marketplace’s official API with a read-only key: it can’t change prices, product cards or stock. You create the key yourself in your seller account and can revoke it at any time. If needed, we deploy the system on your server — then the database with your sales and cost prices is stored only on your side.

Can product cost prices be pulled from 1C?

Yes. We pull cost and purchase prices from 1C automatically: a new batch arrives at a different price, and the profit calculation updates by itself. If you don’t use 1C, a spreadsheet or another accounting system will do. We’ve set up 1C sync for ourselves too: in our online store, stock levels update automatically every few minutes.

How often are sales and profit data updated?

Orders, sales and stock are pulled several times a day, advertising spend daily. Marketplaces publish financial reports less often: Wildberries, for example, once a week. Until a report comes out we calculate profit at current rates, and afterwards we reconcile it with the actual deductions.
